n-tv is the leading German channel for news and economy. Its programme offer is focussed on news, economy and talk. The TV channel was launched in 1992. In 1993 CNN became shareholder in n-tv. In the course of 2002 RTL Group and CNN acquired respectively a shareholding of 50 per cent. In 2004 n-tv moved into a highly modern and fully digitised broadcasting centre in Cologne and has further editorial centres in Berlin and Frankfurt.
